  1. by a rim with pedal breaks

  2. Well, you'd have to take it in to a bike shop and have coaster brakes installed for you, but i HIGHLY recommend you install one hand brake for the back tire. Every bmx bike that you see will never have coaster brakes. They will only have hand brakes, usually one back brake. If you choose to put coaster brakes on, it will disable half the reason you are buying a bmx bike. Plus coaster brakes are for kids learning how to ride.

  3. PLEASE don't get a coaster brake (the back pedal one)it will defeat the whole purpose of the bike. just go get a decent rear brake from a bike shop, it will only cost like 15 bucks( a lot less the price of the coaster brake).

  4. well if u plan on goin to the skate park then dont even dare using back brakes

  5. to apply a coaster brake, you will need to rebuild your rear hub. parts and labor will run you more than you probably paid for a bike you're assembling yourself. get the hand brakes on the bike, then have your LBS show you how to dial them in. since you didn't buy the bike from them they may charge a small shop fee, but less than they would for the new wheel. build a good relationship with these guys, ride with other kids who hang out at the shop, next time 'round you may find they'll help get you a good deal on a new bike!
