Do boat trailers have a title or just registration in the state of Ohio?

I just bought a 21ft rinker ski boat from my neighbor and he said that boat trailers only have a registration not a title, i don't know if that is true. Also how would i go about getting a registration if he lost it?

Boats have a title and trailers have a bill of sale and a registration after you get plates for it. Call the BMV and ask what to do if registration and bill of sale is lost. Sorry I can't help more, good luck!
