Do boats have to pay anything if they require Venetian Causeway in Miami drawbridge to be raised?

Or in general, if a boat requires a drawbridge to be raised, is there any fee the boat has to pay to the operator of the bridge?

  2. Nope the only thing required to have them raise the bridge is

    3 shot blast,s of the horn.

  3. Under US Inland navigation rules, any drawbridge or lock that blocks a navigable waterway cannot charge a boat to pass. You may have to conform to some schedule or contact the operator by radio, phone or horn blast to get them to allow your passage.

  4. No, we have never paid a fee to have a drawbridge raised.  Sometimes you cannot get a drawbridge raised on demand.  Some of them raise only at specific times.
