Question:

Do braces/invisalign impact the jaw?

Ok, here's what I'm stuck in. I have an overbite or even an overjet but it's not only due to my upper jaw being in front of my lower jaw but also because my front teeth aren't in the proper allignment. Now, I was considering jaw surgery but I would like to avoid it. I figure, if I get my teeth straightened out, it will be ok. But I would like the jaw to be moved a wee bit. Can invisaglin do just a bit there?

  1. Invisalign can only straighten the teeth themselves, if there are no major issues with some being too long, short, bite problems.

Braces have the bands that can help bring your jaw into line.

Everyone's treatment is different though, so you need to schedule a consultation with a local orthodontist. If you look through the weekly coupon mailers, you'll find one that offers a free consultation. That way you'll know where you stand, cost, type of braces needed, etc.
