  1. These are the glory days my friend. It's the all or nothing blood and guts struggle to stand on top and our guys just might have the nuts to pull it off.  I really do feel that it's now or 'never.'  The way I see it is that if the brews get far enough this year (playoffs, W.S.) C.C. Sabatihia and/or Sheets might stay around for another season or two.  The best athletes usually want to play for a team that has a real shot at winning big and that's why the brewers need to win as many games as possible and the fans need to cross their fingers and hope that the cubs make mistakes and lose ball games.  I hate to say it but we all know it's true the cubs are the team to beat this year.  NOT the team that the brewers would play in the W.S. The cubs.

  2. They could, and probably will, but the Cardinals are still right there behind them (only 3.5 games behind) and the Phillies are 4.5 games behind. It's not over 'till it's over. The Brewers could very well collapse like the Mets did last year. Anything is possible.

Edit: With the two game series between the Cardinals and Brewers in St. Louis starting tomorrow, that could be the make or break for the Cards. If the Cards lose, they'll be 5.5 games behind the Brewers, so while they'll still have a chance, it won't be as high. But if the Cards can win both, they'll be 1.5 games behind once again and things will be very tight. If they split the series, then things stay the same. So we'll just have to see, the Cards still have 30 games left, and the Brewers have 31.

  3. yes they will

  4. It's said and done, yes the Brewers will win the Wild Card. Unless they pull a Mets like collapse at the end of the season like the Mets did in September '07 they will. Or if the Cubs make a similar collapse and win the division which isn't going to happen for either team.

  5. I am certain of it. They'd have to take a nose dive for it to not happen and the Cards and the Phillies would have to go on a tear,

It's getting down to the wire, they will be there.

  6. it will be closer than you think.  Sabathia showed no signs of wear until yesterday when he could only go 6 innings against th pirates.  If this is because he is getting tired, then the brewers are in a lot of trouble.  But the brewers are a young team, and its exciting to watch those young ball clubs, because despite their inexperience, they bring something much more to the table.  But the Cardinals are keeping pace.  Carpenter took another hit, a big blow to the team since his return was looking promising, he was pitching very well in his starts.  But the real help will come from wainright, he is a fantastic pitcher.  Pujols is really carrying this team now, he was 8 for 10 in the last series, 2 homers, 3 doubles, with 4 walks.  I think this next series wont be too important, its only 2 games, they are no more important than any other series.

Brewers fans should be happy their team is doing so well, considering they were in last place in the division at one point, very fast comeback.  But dont celebrate yet, the cardinals have many tricks up their sleeves, you never know with a team managed by Tony LaRussa.

  7. yea the cardinlas to me are done compared to the brewers unless albert really picks it and carries this team even more up along with that rotation but to me the brewers got it Braun for MVP
