its no where near time for me to be looking at the colors, i still have to wait til the end of next year or the beginning of 2010. Lol but i was thinking champagne for the brides maids and red for the theme color...

I'm not sure if the brides maids are supposed to be the same color as the theme or not. what do you think?

  1. That would be beautiful. You can use tiny accents in champagne to tie it all together. Like use champagne ribbon on the bouquets, champagne napkins, candles, etc. Those two colors would go great together. It would be very romantic using rich colors together like that.

  2. They don't have to match exactly but they should look like they belong in the same room. For example, you wouldn't want aqua blue tea length dresses with seashell bouquets while the rest of the wedding is decorated in red and green and snowflakes at Christmastime.

Champagne and black are considered neutral colors so they go with pretty much everything. No need to worry there.

  3. Champagne is a color that goes with many different colors. I think it would be fine to have your bridesmaids wear champagne and the main color be red. You can have the bridesmaids carry red roses - it would all blend together very well.

  4. I think that's a good choice and the answers with the touches of red like them carrying roses is great!  I got married in the 70's and big rainbow weddings were "in", along with picture hats?  lol  Each bridesmaid wore a different color and the only ones that matched were the maid of honor and the flower girl!  lol  It does give you something to  lok back and say, "Heavens, what were we thinking?"

I like your idea and the answers you've been given!

    GOOD LUCK!!

  5. Yes, they are part of the wedding. Often times the color of their dresses set the theme. They will defiantly make a difference.  Typically there are 2 or 3 colors in the theme (other than the white and black), champagne and red go well together.  What about having them wear a touch of red...like carry a red bouquet, wear a red sash, etc.

  6. It is a pretty recent (1900s) idea that bridemaids wear "costumes" in coordinated colors, as if they were a chorus line in a broadway musical. There are no "rules" about it; it's something people decide for themselves. If it's pretty and festive and makes everyone happy, then there is nothing to stop you from doing this.

  7. Its Your Wedding , be creative my lovely !~

  8. yes but you can do whatever like

  9. LOL...its your wedding!  And champagne is a neutral non color..it will go and look great with just about anything

  10. Its your wedding yours and his do it however you want and how you will be happy
