  1. Never, but then I never got seasick in my life, lucky for me as I took those ferries for years, sometimes through very bad weather. Those ships are heavy and stable, they only have a little movement which most people learn to ignore in five minutes, of course they will start rolling of the sea is choppy enough but in July tempests are so rare as to be non existent and a little rolling and swaying can be fought off if you feel unwell.

If the water gets choppy and you feel sick, here are a few tips:

    - Go on the deck, the stuffy warm atmosphere inside the ship is likely to make you sicker, some good bracing sea air will make you feel better

    - if you are not allowed out because there is a tempest seat in the toilets, it is usually put in the most stable area of the ship and you suffer less from the rolling and swaying movement.

    - eat some bread before traveling, it is neutral on the stomach and if you have to be sick it is better to have something in your stomach. Dry heaves are terrible.

However, I don't think you will need any of this. Have a nice trip.

  2. The waters of the Channel can be very rough at times. I'm an experienced blue water sailor and I've gotten seasick on a channel Ferry.

  3. No but Brittany spears does!
