Question:

Do budgerigars sneeze?

My budgie makes a noise that sounds like he's sneezing, and he twitches his head like he's sneezing, about 2 or 3 times an hour. He's done it ever since I've had him (years) so I don't think it's a cold or anything like that. I was just wondering if budgies actually sneeze?

  1. Yes, they do. They do this to get an irritant out of their nose, like we would. Like seed or something like that. He may be sick, or just always gets seed or something like featherdust in his nose. If there are no other symptoms, I wouldn't worry about it. All budgies do this =]

  2. Yes budgies sneeze but i'm not really sure why yours is sneezing, and since its been sneezing for a year, maybe you should take him to the vet but then again it could just be from his featherdust or something. Good luck :]
