    YES,YES buffalos live in Italy and by case from the place where I am writing to you now - Castelvolturno near Caserta - I can see them eating grass on a field nearby.

    Italian buffalos live anywhere swamps,sludge and marshes are.You will find buffalos in Italy in Caserta,Latina,Foggia.Isernia,Napoli and Grosseto.

    Where buffalos are, there is always an excellent production of the well known "mozzarella", wich is worth to taste at least once.

  6. Originally not but they imported and now they breed them in many places. We make mozzarella from Buffalo in Sardinia, Campania and other regions.

    Apart from that, some buffalo bones and skeletons were found, dating back to prehistoric ages, which means they did actually live here.
