Do bugs live in sand? will bugs come in sand?

okay wierd question, if my bff builds a sand pit 4 her son 2 play in will there be bugs in it?? like grasshoppers, flies, beetles, ants, moquitioes, all tht stuff. I mean, are those bugs going2 be in the sand or on the sand??? i know its gross cause thts just a huge litter box but there r no cats in her nieghborhood plus she has a HUGE fence.

Some bugs do live in sand: ant lion larvae, certain wasp species, some ant species and a few others may move into a sandbox
