  1. Bugs are insects.  They lay eggs which hatch into larvae, or into nymphs.  After feeding for a while, most of them larvae pupate.  Then, when they have transformed into the adult insect stage, they come out of the pupa shell.

    The important thing here is the degree of metamorphosis the insect undergoes in its journey from an egg to an adult. All insect life cycles start with an egg, and end with an adult insect, it is only the path between these two points that makes the difference. The question that distinguishes the two different paths is really; is there a pupa? or is there not?

    Hemimetabolous = Egg » Nymph » Adult (3 stages)

    Holometabolous = Egg » Larva » Pupa » Adult (4 stages)

    A pupa is a special resting, normally unmoving stage of an insects life. During this stage it undergoes that miraculous transformation from a bag with a mouth at one end and an a**s at the other into a wonderfully sculptured and complex adult insect.

  2. No, their brothers and sisters bug them too much.

  3. Since true bugs are insects, they lay eggs that hatch and turn into other insects.  While all bugs are insects, though, not all insects are bugs.  Search Yahoo for "true bugs" for more info.

  4. Some produce by laying eggs,some spiders have little spiders,some have grubs that turn into adult bugs.
