Do buses run 24/7?

Question

Im thinkin of going to college in Chicago. Im from New York City and it is 24/7 transportation over here. If i live on the southside and go to a bar at 3 in the morning on the northside or visa versa I wanna be able to get home without driving. I know that there is owl service and that the red and blue lines run 24/7 but what If i dont live by the buses that are owl service or the red or blue lines. How do you drunk Chicagoans get home when you dont live by the late night buses or trains. Inexpensivly mind you.

depends which part of the city you live and which part of the city you party.  all i got to say is save some money for a cab because it can cost a good 20 bucks to get any where.  if you do take a cab make sure the person knows where there going.

i think some buses are twenty four seven
