Do caladium plants have a blooming flower?

I have several varieties I purchased in lake Placid, Fl and the variety June Bud is producing a bloom, like a hosta.

Yes they do produce a spathe.

Just cut them off close to the ground when they first appear to prolong the foliage.

Caladiums produce  blooms but not actual flowers in the typical sense. It'll be similar to an alocasia bloom; nothing bright, pretty or colorful, but nonetheless interesting. =)

Caladium growers recommend that the inforescence spikes be removed, because they DO divert nutrients from the leaves, because any plant's ultimate goal is to reproduce itself, and that is what it is trying to do by blooming.

when mine bloomed, I was so fascinated by it, there was no WAY I'd have cut it off!....it's kind of a rare thing here....
