Question:

Do/can Bumblebees sting?

I don't think they can,but I've never heard one way or the other. I have a lot around my house right now and they are BIG so I'd really like to know!

  1. Yes they do! They can sting you more then one time! Check out the sites that I found for you.


  2. Yes...I sat on one years ago...Words cannot describe the pain. LOL. You have to take the stinger out after.

  3. They can, but I think it is fairly unusual unless you are messing with their nest or otherwise pestering them.

  4. Yes they can, but only once. The stinger gets detatched and they end up dying afterwards. They only sting when the hive feels threatened so don't go poking around there nests.
