In short, i am from the U.S. (35% car tint allowed in my state) and will be driving around in Canada for a year with my vehicle in British Columbia. Since i am in another country, do the tint laws of British Columbia apply to me? Do the tint laws of Hawaii apply to me? Im stumped :(

  1. you would have to know the laws and practices of the other places to be sure, but usually items that a state considers saftey related, will be upheld in the state you are in, such as motorcycle helmet laws, if your state doesn't require it, you still need it in the state you are travelling.  however generalized things , such as a front license which some states do not require, are not required in the state you are travelling.  i would guess they can fine you if they wish, but will probably opt for fix it tickets because you are not from the area.  some areas get fanatical about window tint violations.

  2. The farther north you go the less they like window tint and those idiots that drive around with limo tint or to dark are

just running on borrowed time. They get you for something minor and then throw the book at you

  3. No it doesnt apply to you. You are above the law and can do anything you want!

  4. Yes the laws from state to state and also from country to country will apply to you and you will most likely not get a ticket but in your case you just might because you will be there for one year...
