**There are a few teams that still have a chance of making the eight and I don't think we'll know for sure who will make the eight and who won't unless the end of the home and away season.  At this stage I'd say that Carlton are still a chance but who knows what will happen between now and the end of the season.**

carlton basically need to win all of their remaining games and hope that other results go their way. winning all of their remaining games gives them the magical 12 wins, which should get them in, but I'm not sure about their percentage.

the top three is now settled but anybody from 4th to about 10th could grab the 4th spot at the end of the minor round. carlton have a fairly difficult run i think, I'm not certain but i think they face port, brisbane, hawthorn and the kangaroos (in no specific order)

i think that they will win only 1 of these matches (against port), and might be able to sneak a win against brisbane or the kangaroos (who are other finals contenders)

I'm a crows supporter, and saying that, probably not. True, mathematically teams to 12th spot have a chance, but I cant see the blues come back after a disappointing loss at AAMI.
