  1. They have beta carotene which is turned into vitamin a in the liver and is used to replace cones and rods in the eye that helps vision. The only thing is is that there are many more carotenoids that do this and an assortment is better. Spirulina has 8 carotenoids including alpha,beta,gamma,lutein and more. Two warnings on Spirulina 1) it has vitamin k so if on blood thinners check with doctor first and 2) it's high in amino acid protein Phenylalanine and a rare few are alergic to this. This is just an amino acid that is in many foods. Bilbery is awesome for eyesight as well. It increases circulation to the eyes and makes blood vessels more flexible and strong.
