Do carrots make your skin yellow/orange?

like i eat 6-8 baby carrots everyday. will this make my skin change colour?

You would need more then that ( more like 6 to 8 bags of baby carrots a day).

8 baby carrots doesn't even equal 1 large carrot and you would need to eat about 10 or more large carrots to get enough carotenee to change you skin colour.

Put it this way, you'd need alot of carrots to do it.

Consuming a lot of carrots will turn your skin orange; however, I don't know if there is a specific number of carrots. Everyone's system is different. The palms of your hands will turn orangish-yellow when you've had too much.

Yes, they do if you eat too many. I know someone that ate a lot of carrots and oranges and their skin changed to orange temporarilly.

Wherever you heard that, it's only semi-true. Baby carrots have beta carotene, which is preformed Vitamin A, meaning it only turns to vitamin A if your body needs it. Beta carotene is very good for you, and will only turn your skin a yellow color if you eat tons of it. I'd imagine you'd have to consume 100-200 baby carrots to get that effect, and even then, it would take a week or so.

Even if you do get the yellow skin, it is completely harmless.

my baby cousin drank carrot juice constantly and his skin got a slight yellowish hue to it

No!  If you eat loads and loads every day, like 5 kilos then yes you will turn orange, but even then its mild!  You will be ok eating 6-8!  They are very good for you.
