  1. Mostly a myth.  Like other fruits and veggies, carrots contain a number of vitamins and phytochemicals needed for good health, including eye health.  But there is nothing special about carrots, you would do just as well eating other fruits and veggies and no carrots.  You should try to eat about 8 servings of fruit and veggies daily.

If you mean will eating carrots reverse eye disease or remove the need to wear glasses, the answer is no.

  2. To put it simply- eating carrots MAINTAIN eye-sight, rather than IMPROVE.

  3. Beta carotene is good for your eyes and carrots are high in beta carotene.  However, it's a bit of a stretch to say carrots will "improve" your eyesight.  A habit of eating lots of carrots is good for eye health and you are better off with them than without, but eating lots of carrots will not really make your vision better.

  4. Lutein and zeaxanthines help improve eyesight also.  You need to eat a lot of carrots to get enough to make a big difference like for cataracts.

  5. They contain beta carotine and that helps, but it only takes a little.

  6. Carrots are loaded with beta carotene, which is one of the many vitamins and minerals that help keep your eyes healthy that help you have good eyesight.  But do they actually improve your eye sight?  I don't think so.

  7. yes

  8. it makes u like superman

  9. They keep your night vision working.  Eat your carrots and stop complaining.

  10. carrots really help you to retain good level of vitamin A. But you can't reverse eye-sight problems only with carrot.

  11. they are good for you all over health, but don't eat too many they contain a lot of sodium.
