if i bet 1$ on place to lose on 4 or 10 at 5-11 pay out, will the casino realy only give me 45 cents?

or do they round it up to 50 cents and have a minimum bid of 2$ on things like those?

basicaly i am asking, with odds such as, 5-11, 6-5 etc. how strick is the casino with that, and what are minimum bids at low stakes craps tables? playing at morongo btw.

  1. yes, they have to pay exactly what is their stated payout. howeve, they usually avoid this situation by having minimum bet amounts.

the smallest unit i've seen on a non-roulette table is $5 paigow with a 5% commission, so they would give back 9.75 on the win.

  2. A craps table dealer will never round up. If they rounded up to $0.50 there would be no house edge. He is, however, quite willing to round down since that increases the house advantage.

At best you would probably get $0.25. I have never seen a casino with table game payouts in denominations under $0.25, and it has been years since I have seen one that used $0.25 on craps tables. (That was at the Cal-Neva in Reno. I have not been there for over 20 years.)

Most craps table have minimum bet of at least $5, but minimums may be as high as $25 during busy hours. You can call the Morongo table games hotline toll free at

    1-800-252-4499, ext. 23618

and they will be glad to tell you what their minimum is.

  3. you really need to play no less than 5 dollars in craps to get fare odds.if im on a budget and cant take true odds then i would make a place bet on the number you want.
