Is it true that "Toxoplasma Gondii" a parasite carried and transmitted via cats, can affect women's emotions and behavior? Is it also true that this parasite can even prevent women from having children? Could this parasites affects multiply by how many cats a lady has? And furthermore, could this "Toxoplasma Gondii" parasite explain the reason why there are so many "Crazy Cat Ladies"?

  1. I dont believe thats true, but cats do decrease the risk of heart disease and your blood pressure. They also reduce stress.

  2. SHHHIII-  ZOMBIES.

    No.

Crazy Cat Ladies are, in my opinion, just lonely little old ladies with cats as her .. friends?  And far from single, my friend.  Three babies and one of his own -- I think the cat was a sink and line for my fiancee. Lulz. :p

  3. lolz, this would explain a lot!

I have no idea if a parasite like this exists but it sure could!

  4. i know a man who has 31 cats and he is single.

  5. No, lol. My sister has had 3 cats for 10+ years she is married and has a happy 1 year old child. I have had 2 cats for 3 years and I am happly engaged. Toxicplasmosis is in the f***s. It will only harm you if you handle the p**p when your pregnant.

The thing about the crazy cat ladies is that they were crazy to begin with. These people never really had any companions so they feel the need to horde cats or other animals.

  6. Wow... after I read your question I went to this site and was amazed!  Had never heard of such a thing.

I was single with 2 cats until I met my husband 10 years ago. (I was 38)  I always figured that my cats were a good character guage.... they really loved my hubby!  And of course, up until him, I always preferred the company of my cats vs any man I had met!  I don't think it was due to Toxoplasma, being schizoid or whatever.... just really good judgement on my and my cats' part!

  7. well, i think its not the toxoplasma makes women remain lonely, and start a cat "collection".

the smell of cats will drive all men away!

(i have a friend like this) 1 cat, 2,3,4, etc.People who live with many cats, cant smell them any more:but, the people who have no cats at all:start to slowly stay away, due to the stench of the house, then the person starts to smell like cat:the clothes, the persons hair, etc.

No man wants sleep with a nice woman, who smells like cat pee.

  8. I seriously doubt that! I think whether or not women are aware they invest emotionally with their cats and not their significant other. There's nothing wrong with loving animals but I think there is a point where some people cross the line, such as putting their cat in their will. The parasite you are talking about should concern mainly pregnant women. If you are worried about the parasite, have your cat de-wormed.

  9. I'm a crazy cat lady. :P Okay I'm not, I'm 20 and live with my one cat in my apartment. Though I don't think it would change the way I meet men, I've always been bad at meeting a man haha. My cat keeps me sane, when I feel I'm going crazy. She loves on me, and makes it all better. Though I've always been open to a man, I just don't care. Maybe that's it.

BTW my apartment in no way smells like a cat. I didn't know cats had a smell? I know their poo and urine does, but if you're a clean person and can take care of your litter box, there should be no problem. Usually when someone new comes over, and I call my cat, they are like "You have a cat? Where?" They find it amazing :P lol

  10. I am the old lady with all the cats.  I am living alone and like it that way.  I can do what I please, when I want to.  The only restriction is feeding my cats and large dog.  I find my cats have a very good judgement on the kind of person they warm-up to.  Seeing how women are a lot more emotionally involved in things, this may be why we appreciate the cat's ability to judge people well.
