  2. IF I JUMP out and pssstt you jump rite cat same we all as mamals communcate with the one thing we have is persona and also read the same as its persona  yes your anaimal does percieve and respond to you and others not as too copy ,but too fit in  just like going to school for the first time  but its for life and all domesticated animals they dont know love or happiness untill shown the other and thet dont like pain and who does so within thier own little craftyness they pick-up your leeds and therre ya go HAAHA you got a little splitting whatever OV YA ...have a good one 7 or so  ROC

  3. Yes, cats do communicate with facial movements, including eyes, ears and the position of their whiskers.  Some movements are so subtle that it is incredibly hard for humans to work out what the cat is feeling.  When one cat looks at another, slow blinking is a sign of contentment and reassurance.  However, a direct stare between 2 cats is a sign of intimidation.  If you see this happening, the most likely action will either be a fight or one of the cats will turn around and walk off, thereby showing he is submissive to the other.

So, the answer to your question is that when you were blinking at your cat you were certainly communicating that you meant no harm - never stare directly at your cat (particularly a nervous or aggressive one).

  4. They mainly communicate with body language. They use facial expressions as well. My cat uses both.
