Do cats have reactions to storms? HELP!

Could it be because she gets headaches during storms? My brother is acting the exact same way, he gets severe migrains during storms. He's just a lot crankier!

  1. She'll be fine. Some cats and kittens are afraid of loud noises especially if they can't figure out what it is.

    Also, that's very odd that your cat doesn't sleep during the day. Cats usually sleep around 16 hours a day and are nocturnal.


  2. all animals are scared off the storms,especially thunder and lightning,mine are 15,16 and 17 now and they still cling to me in fear of it.some hide in cupboards(or i have to put them in a dark room and one i have to put him under my duvet and leave the bedroom door ajar) and one of them i have to put her inside my jumper and off course she the biggest and heaviest of the lot..also cats do sleep on average 18 hrs a day.

  3. she probablly is just a alittle scared and is using you for protection. i would just give your kitten some time to get used to storms.
