  1. They do, but it's in their nail beds. That's why declawing cats can lead to territorial issues - you take away one of their ways of marking their territory - so they pee instead.

  3. It is most likely sweat. Cats and dogs dont sweat like us but they do sweat from their paws.

  4. Cats do have scent glands located in the pads of their feet near the base of their claws, and each feline produces its own unique scent. While humans don't generally notice this scent, other cats and animals can, so the scent serves as a marker to show where your cat has been.

    This is one of the main reasons that it's worth persevering when training them to use a scratch post, because once something is impregnated with their paw scent, they will continue to scratch in the same place in order to keep the scent topped up.  It's also why they like kneading their owners or blankets etc.

  5. i dont think they have scent glands in the paws, put they do leave their scent when they rub their face against something.
