  1. supposedly

  2. Cats responded to the colors purple, blue, green and yellow range. Red, orange and brown colors appear to fall outside cats color range and are most likely seen as dark to mid shades of gray.

Cats appear to see less saturation in colors than do humans, meaning cats do not see colors as intensely or vibrantly. Purple, blue & green appear to be the strongest colors perceived by cats.

Here's how cats see in colors:-

  3. Their spectrum is in fact much more limited than ours, but their pupils take in more light, allowing them to see better in the dark.  My cats favorite color is blue

  4. they see a few other colors

  5. Yes, perhaps in the beginning they do just like humans.  My precious little one used to charge at a red blanket but purred and kneaded a pink blanket. Think about how different a pet grows in prospective of a human. Perhaps at birth, cats and humans see in black and white but at some point, they see color. Or they are color blind--which DOES happen. It's an eye ball. There is really NO difference in humans and cats. We can talk and they meow!. it's still a spinal cord and left brain, right brain thing.......cats talk to us-----they SEE colors and what is there. Nothing different than us.

  6. It was once believed that cats are colorblind, but now it is known that they can actually tell the difference between certain colors.  Basically, they see the world in shades of blue and green.  Though they see color, cats don't pay much attention to it.  In nature, color isn't particularly necessary for a cat's survival success.

  7. No they see in color, but it's a more limited spectrum than that of humans.  They see better at night than we do though.
