  1. It is technically illegal in the United States to transcode video from DVDs to your computer. For your information, it is absolutely illegal, nearly everywhere, to redistribute these movies. This is only legal (in some countries) for personal purposes. (i.e. putting it on your laptop to watch on an airplane flight, ipod, etc.) Assuming you live in a country that it is legal, the programs are:

DVD Decrypter. Run this first, then run the next program. This removes copy protection.

Handbrake. Then you can convert the copy-protection-free DVD rip to a format the iPod can understand. There are several presets so this is easy.

  2. if you burned a cd  you can put it on your ipod by putting the cd in the computer then on itunes it will pop up under devices and you can double click on it and whatever is on the cd will come up and you can drag the stuff into your tracks or put in in your files

...... sometimes cd wont come up if it wasn't burned on your computer

  3. iPod can only support mpeg4 video. You will need to convert dvds and video into mp4 or h264 format, add them into itunes library, then sync to ipod, you will need to have a converter to help you, take a look at this reviews of top dvd to itunes converter for help http://www.dvdtoitunes.com/reviews.html , both mac and windows version are reviewed.this is a step by step guide http://www.dvdtoitunes.com/dvd-to-itunes...

  4. no. but you can download a program on your computer to do it
