Do cherry barbs and tiger loaches school?

loaches love to school, especially clown loaches (if you have room for them!) and barbs as far as i know SHOULD school. but just because they should school by nature doesnt mean they will. my boyfriend has a tank FULL of schooling fish and they rarely school!

I believe while young loaches do school, but not one they reach adolencense. Also tiger loaches like to hide in caves. Cherry barbs might if there are more than 2.

the cherry barbs will school with each other but i dont think the loaches will school with the cherry barbs

Cherry Barbs may swim together on occaision, but are far less school oriented than other Barbs (Tigers, in particular). If by "Tiger Loach" you mean Syncrossus hymenophysa ( http://akvaforum.no/images/fish/syncross... ), no, they do not school, or even shoal-- these are very aggressive fish well suited for Mbuna tanks or other large, rowdy fish.
