  1. The small packet of flavoring contains chicken bone meal and probably other animal bi products that require killing the chicken.

all ramen (that i know of) have animal product in there seasonings. Even a veggie brand i've seen.

  2. im a vegetarian and i hate meat & i eat them all the time. it's just chicken base no chicken (;

  3. Not actual chicken.  The flavor packet is chicken stock or chicken base (which is derived from real chickens somewhere along the line), but there are no actual pieces of chicken in the noodles or flavor packet.

  4. Yes, all you have to do is read the ingredients to see that there's chicken in there. And there's beef in the beef one and pork in the pork one. When you see ingredients like "powdered chicken," "chicken fat," and "chicken broth" those are made by processing real chickens.

  5. they do not contain chicken but you as a vegetarian cant eat becuase it contains stock that orriginally was from juice of chicken

  6. Yes, ingredients like chicken broth, chicken fat and chicken powder are made from dead chickens and are no different than eating a slab of chicken meat.   If you're knowingly eating a dead chicken, you're not a vegetarian.

  7. The Noodles have no Chicken. The small spice packet does have chicken fat.

Make your noodles. Throw out the spice packet.

Use a vegetarian sauce of your choice. You can't beat the price and ease of use of this product.

  8. The seasoning is most likely a overly-salted dehydrated chicken based broth.

  9. NO.Just a broth made from spices and chicken flavored.

  10. it doooes!

    CHICKEN FAT!

    read the ingredients

  11. Yes..they do.  I'm sure that if you read the label, there is most likely chicken fat in them.

  12. The noodles don't but the seasoning does. Vegetarians don't eat chicken base/stock/broth/flavoring. It's made via the death of chickens.

  13. Depends on what brand. Some Korean type ramens have tvp in them, most brands at the regular stores  have chicken powder and dehydrated chicken fat hence the word "chicken" on the label.  Other wise it would say something like mock chicken and stuff. Hey most hamburger canned sauces actually have tvp in them!!!!But they don't say Beef flavored.

  14. Yes. You should just toss the chicken flavor if you want Ramen noodles.

I'm a vegetarian and I love Ramen noodles. Just boil the noodles, add some veggies and when it's in the bowl, add some grated parmasian, basil and shredded cheese. Wa-La.

Don't eat that chicken flavor packet if you're vegetarian. Gross.

  15. there is no chicken, just a chicken flavor packet.

  16. I looked at a beef flavoured one, and it does not actually list beef anywhere in the ingredients. Lots of chemicals and soy protein, but no beef. So the chicken ones likely don't contain chicken either.

  17. Hi,

It contains the essence of a product made out of chicken. In my opinion, its of course considered in non-veg category.

  18. Yes! They do contain chicken. It is usually made with chicken broth and or chicken meal which are both made from chicken.

  19. i am vegetarian it shoud be ok i eat the soup !!!

  20. Read the label.  It will say if it has chicken/beef stock/fat/whatever.

And I disagree with those who suggest eating the noodles and tossing the packet.  You see, if you buy the stuff and toss the packet, you are still creating a demand for dead chicken and dead cow products.  The company doesn't care whether you eat it or throw it away; it only cares that you BUY the product.

Dr. MacDougall's has low-sodium soup cups, and they have a Chicken Ramen Flavor and a Chinese Chicken Ramen Flavor that are totally vegan and totally delicious.  They also have several other flavors.

  21. it contains chicken broth, which some vegetarians choose not to consume.
