And do we grow older to become those who we wished to never become because we have no choice to conform? I find it hard to take a different path, but we can make our own if we use our heads.

  1. So very true. Now that I am older I would never sip the childhood Kool Aid. Our lives good, bad or in between are exactly what we choose them to be tempered slightly by fate.

  2. yes

  3. we all drink the water, that is laced with the byproducts of the medicines we take and are eliminated from our bodies.....  or

why do you feel that you have no choice but to conform?  are you capable of independent thought  and critical thinking?

trouble is most of us need to "fit in" because of the obligations we carry    i.e.   family, having a roof over our heads, etc....

  4. whatever

  5. This is why it is drummed into us that we have freedom of choice. It then becomes our fault and not someone elses when things go wrong. It can feel degrading admitting wrongfulness. However, lessons can be learned once we accept our faults. We have the power to become better people. It annoys me when people sit and complain about society all the time. Compare our society with the society our great grandparents had to live in or the society third world people live in. They worked hard and, accepted and dealt with their more severe problems. For morality I would sooner live in the past. For quality of living, Id sooner live here. please think about that.
