Do children prefer to spend time with other children or with adults?

Most kids like to play with other kids and don't mind adults presence too till 10 years old. After that it depends on the personality of the kid and family.  School they have no choice in the class learning with the teacher.

It all depends on there lifestyle, It's better for the child to learn to interact with other children but if their not used to sharing their toys they may not want to, But they have to get out of that eventually! I don't know what my sister-in laws going to do w/my niece! She hardly ever goes around other children! And when I try to take my boys over there my niece doesn't want them to touch anything! I told her  ''What are you going to do when she has to start school?''

depends on the kid. I am sure they would all rather spend time with other kids, but if there aren't any, they will settle for adults. (most of the time)

Depends on the child.  when I volunteered in a preschool, there were a couple children that liked to drag me around everywhere although one of those two preschoolers did have friends her own age.  The other was autistic and didn't get along very well with other children.  Then there were other kids in the preschool who never wanted to do anything with me or the other volunteers.
