  1. LOL why would you catch a wild chipmunk?? thats like trying to chatch a  feral cat  of course you can get rabies along with other things

  2. ...God, you're an idiot.

And yes, they could have rabies if you insist on getting them from the wild instead of a suitable pet shop or domestic breeder.

Don't take the risk and don't take animals from the wild- it's cruel.

  3. Rabies is really rare among smaller rodents, and only appear in larger mammals like foxes, raccoons, or skunks.  But I would be worried about the other diseases that a chipmunk could have, and it is not the smartest idea in the world to catch a wild animal as a pet.  You need to hand-raise animals from birth to domesticate them, because there is no way you can handle a wild animal without getting bitten and hurt.

  4. yes i have a friend who got bit by one she had to have tons of tests to make sure didn't get rabies I would recommend to just buy one or consider a gerbil or hamster much cheaper and easier to take care of

  5. DO NOT CATCH ANIMALS FROM THE WILD TO DOMESTICATE THEM

    That is a stupid idea.

    1. Its cruel, they might have a family, home, and wont be tame, but probably quite vicious.

    2. They could carry tons of diseases.

    DONT RISK IT

Go to a pet shop! Idiot!

  6. Wow...

Of course they can have diseases. You are aware it's against the law to catch and raise wild animals... They can have any number of diseases. Buy a domestically raised chipmunk, or get a gerbil or hamster. You can buy healthy domesticated chipmunks all over the place. Just look it up on the web.

  7. yes! yes! yes! dont try to catch one get a gerbil or somthing!
