Do cicada killer wasps ever sting people?

And if they do, what does it feel like. Since the venom is powerful enough to parlyze a cicada, would it make your arm go numb.

Yes they will sting, and bite. I worked on a pest control job in Louisiana that had thousands hovering over this small wooded area in a gated community. 3 sting bites later, I whent and put on the bee suit.

I called them sting bites because thay do both at the same time to humans. I didnt feel like I was parlyzed, except where I was stung, but it didnt parlyze me totally if that what you mean. Just felt numb around the sting area, and not for very long as the pain was horrible.

On another note there were cow killers around(red velvet ants) which also have a painful bite.

Worst day ever on my job by far.
