Do civilian firefighters make more money than USAF firefighters? (In the States, obviously)

I know it may depend on rank...but I speak in general.

  1. NO, the air force, army, etc. all have ranks and levels.  Unless you are an officer, you are set at a certain pay grade.  In civilian jobs, your performance and experience set your pay.
