Just recently we had some grundgy neighbors living in the other part of the duplex.. they didnt have running water, electricity or gas and the landlord finally evicted them because they werent paying rent....They moved out about 2 weeks ago and since then I've seen 3 cockroaches in my part of the house!!!!!!!!!!!!!....Could they have came from the other part of the duplex??? Also, I am not TOTALLY sure if they are cockroaches.. they are tan and the one I seen today looked like it was dead so I went to pick it up with a napkin and it jumped???!!!....My husband is calling the landlord tonight and we are moving in a few weeks anyways.. but I dont want to take them with us if they are roaches.. what do I do???

  1. Yes they move from apt to apt.

Before you move make sure you check all boxes for roach eggs

  2. Make the landlord exterminate and ask the exterminator the best ways to avoid these things going with you. You need to check all the places they could hide in your furniture.

  3. Yes, cockroaches will go anywhere they find conditions they like.  And since the unit next door is the closest, that it the first place they will go.  Get the landlord to hire an exterminator fast - Cockroaches are dirty and multiply fast.  And they will get into your furniture and boxes.  Make sure they do the extermination in both units and before you move!

  4. yes, they do.  they will probably be in the entire building now.  report it to your landlord and ask him to have all units sprayed immediately. there is a good chance you might take them with you.  get the place sprayed, keep all food put up and sealed tightly.  keep bathrooms clean etc.  when you move, i would go ahead and have someone spray there in case you take eggs with you.  this happened to me once in high school.  these foul icky ppeople moved in beside us and we got them.  my dad acted quickly and they were gone fast.  we owned it though, so we had to pay for all prevention.

  5. yes they do move from place to place i think you can buy something to spray or a fog thing  be for you move i think they can hide like in boxes and stuff
