  1. Yes, but you should look for ones already cooked and seasoned in a can if you don't have luck cooking these.

  2. We southerners prefer them over all other greens. They may have a slight smell. The secret is to devein and flavor properly. Serve some cornbread on the side.

  3. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS RINSE THEM IN SOME VINEGAR TO KILL THE SMELL.

  4. Yes, they do have a slight odor to them but after you rinse them and cook them in salt water they will be great, Esp with a little hot sauce!

  5. No, but then again I've never purchased "bagged" greens. They usually are fresher and tastier fresh in the bundles than bagged. They are deelish if cooked correctly. Great Luck to you:)!!

  6. Yes, the smell is quite normal, it is the smell of "freshness."  Vinegar, however, will kill the smell, in addition, during cooking, add a pinch of sugar.  That will balance the vinegar.

  7. Yes they have a flavor like mustard or broccoli.

  8. If you like broccoli, kale or cavalo nero then you will not be bothered by the cooking odor of collard greens..delicious.

  9. ya a lil they are great and very healthy for you i prefer glory greens straight from a can
