I transferred from my college to Ohio State last year, I stayed in the dorms and I like it, but I'm going to be senior this fall. The thing is I like the dorms, I like the community atmosphere, and being from another country, it's really big for me, but I can't hide the fact that I'm a senior, and so if I remain in the dorms, will it discourage freshmen and sophomores from hanging out with me and stuff, cuz I know that a majority of people in the dorms and freshmen and sophomores.

  1. You should be fine. You should be able to tell already if you have lived in the dorms if your class status will be an issue at your school. Think back to your past year.

  2. If you lead off with "I'm a senior" you might bet the cold shoulder but, from experience YEARS ago, there will be no discrimination.  If you treat people well, they will treat you well.

  3. Usually it is the seniors who don't really want to hang out with freshmen and sophomores, because there is a big maturity difference between most seniors and most freshmen.  You may not have much in common with the other students.  Also, I don't know about Ohio State, but at a lot of colleges there is a shortage of housing, and it may be difficult to get into the dorms as a senior.
