Do colleges look at freshman ?

i got a 3.5 gpa frosh year and im scared they r gonna look at that year because i didnt do well. but if i do a ton better the rest of the years will i have a chance for and ivy league or a college close to that?

  1. Collages see all your grades from 1st grade, i think.If you wanted to get into Harvard you wouldn't make it at all. Grades are like weight, and they will never go away. No matter what you do, don't loose hope, and keep trying to improve those grades! Who knows, maybe you can get into a even better school then the ones you want to go to now!


  2. dont listen to whoever said colleges see all your grades from 1st grade.  they only see your high school transcript

    a 3.5 is good, but maybe not ivy league good.  i advise people against going to an ivy league school.  you have to ask yourself if an ivy league school is really what you want, or if you just want to go for bragging rights.  you can find public schools all over the country that give you a good education and are easier to get into (although some are harder than you would think, and its a shame that they dont get as much respect just because they're public).  i laugh at the people that challenge themselves too much just to get into a top college.
