Do collies have a fear of water?

we took our dog camping to tallulah falls and there is a lake their and we tried to take her in but she hates water what should i do

they do at first mine did you need to do it with her try that next time

Mine never liked the water really. My border collie would wade in on occasion, my rough collie never liked it and its probebly just as well. His coat would be a good mess if he did. I wouldnt pressure your dog into the water. Collies are herding dogs, they're not bred to like the water.
