Do color contacts look natural?

Question

I'm thinking it would be fun to have some green contacts to wear once in a while to a party or out with friends. Does anyone use color contacts and love the look? Which brand should I go for?

If you are wearing them for events/parties/evening activities, I think it's fine. However, I will say I can always spot colored contacts. They are unnatural looking, even the expensive ones. This is typically not due to the quality of the lens, but rather that the wearer choses a color that is unflattering to their own natural coloring. Also, if you don't have a good fitting, you're eyeballs will look a little buggy. Lenses come in different sizes and a good fitting is unnoticeable. If you are spending the money, make sure you have a good fitting.  If it's just for fun, go for it.

In high school, I wore blue contacts because I always wanted to have blonde hair and blue eyes.  My natural color is hazel with some gold flecks.  Everyone could always tell that the blue ones were fake because they could see the hazel around the edges.  One day, I decided to stop wearing them and everyone commented on how much better my natural eye color is.  So in my opinion, and in the opinion of a lof of my friends/strangers, colored contacts look fake!
