Do colored contacts affect your eyesight

I have been looking at blue colored contacts for a while because I don't like my brown eyes now. I have 20/20 vision and I was wondering if colored contacts affect your vision. Also, do they hurt when you put them in? I can put my finger on my eye and it feels fine. Lastly, what is the price range for colored contacts?

P.S., I was looking into the FreshLook colored contact brand. Good, or no?

  1. NO htye don't affect your eyesight. You should get them from a doctor though. They can get you the one that will fit you best or you can get them at globallens.com and buy a box of contact lenses with 0 diopters. I wore fresh looks before and they were pretty good. Just make sure you buy opaque or coloblend. if you take good care them they will last quite long because they come 6 in the box. they should last for at least 3 to 4 months.

  2. If you are fit with a tinted contact that has a transparent tint over the optical zone then, yes, the color of light entering the eye will be altered by the tint in the lens.  Don't worry too much about this one though.  Very quickly your brain will adapt to this altered input and you should be able to judge colors accurately with the lenses on.  Of course, if you are being fit with a tinted contact lens that only has color in the periphery of the lens then there should be no noticeable change in the color of light entering the eye.

Oh, and by the way.  You get brownie points for using the word AFFECT rather than EFFECT!!!!!!!   Affect is a verb and effect is a noun.

  3. definetly will nott affect your eyesight. At first it takes a long time to put them in because ur eyes arent used to your fingers poking them (: But its hard with a circle thing around your index finger and jabbing it in you know?

Ive worn blue freshlook and I have dark brown eyes. Believe me, they look SOO fake and like uve just gotten high last night. I think you should get DARK green,. Don't get purple either.

For a few pairs, they costed me around 70 bucks. message me if u need anything else

oh ya when u first put on colored contacts, ur eyes arent so adjusted to it cause u might see a bit of blue (depending on the color) outside of your eye, but ull get used 2 it and u wont see it anymore
