Do colored contacts mess up your eyes?

well i was thinking of getting colored contacts bcuz i dont think my eyes match my face (light brown eyes) and well to me it's not good on me and i just wanted to be cautious that if i wore them often would if effect my eye sight or would it have any other side effects

Not at all. All contacts are irritating the first 2-3 days of wearing them.

I have successfully worn them for over 20 years. Zero problems.

Two side effects come to mind:

1. You will begin to look fake

2. You will begin to wonder if people like you for "you" or do they like you for your eyes.
