  1. No; They walk around with a clipboard and get peoples ideas for improvements within the community. I did this when I was in High School.


  2. It depends on their specific job.

    For example: A community organizer in a large city may have to deal with more money (via donations) than some small town, redneck Alaskan mayor who runs a city that has something like 4,000 inhabitants. Actually, a high school principal probably has more budget responsibility than a mayor of a small, irrelevant, redneck town of 4,000.
