I once worked for a black couple, they sold computers on-line, and I know they were eagerly looking to employ whites within their company.

I also worked for some chinese people as a driver delivering linen, table cloth, chef's clothes and the like to mostly chinese restaurants, they too seemed eager to employ whites.

Both companies were great, really nice and fair people, in-fact as I now work for myself, I got all my computers from the first company and the owner of the chinese linen hire company is now a good friend.

The problem that I could see they both had was that whites generally did not want to work for them, well not for long anyway, and they soon learn that if they want long term employees they need to find other black or chinese people to employ.

This is ofcourse not always the case but it is often the case

No one has to hire anyone of a certain race.  All in the u.s. are prohibited from making hiring decisions based on race.  That being said, many companies violate that law and there is very little public enforcement.  The main enforcement comes from private complaints.

They can't discriminate on the basis of colour either, unless the company is specifically formed to ameliorate the conditions of poor black people.

Give it a rest for a while, bud - in Canada, where we're ahead of the US by about 30 years on this, we have all races hiring all races.

This "discrimination" bugaboo that the US has is really only a short-term issue.

It'll work itself out.

BY THE WAY, how come nobody seems to complain about Toyota Motors ( a Japanese company with Japanese managers) hiring white people?

dont worry pal.. in california.. more minority babies are born every year than whites.. hawaii is already dominated by minoritys.. soon enough those equal rights.. and anti discrimination laws will benefit white people.

my personal opinion is that if racism and descrimination exist.. and they cannot be got rid of in anyother way.. then affirmative action is a lesser evil than allowing it to continue.. i think if equality cannot be a reality.. then it's ok to legislate equality.
