  1. Yes they can give you headaches at first.

You should wear them a few hours at a time to start with and build up your wearing time by an hour every day until your eyes become accustomed to them.

If after doing this you continue having problems I would go back and see your optician for some advice.

  2. It takes a few days to adjust to wearing contacts, because your eyes have to get used to focusing in a different way.

Try other methods to get rid of a headache - drink some water, go for a walk, have a nap. Also remember that for the first couple of days, you should only wear the contacts for an hour or two, just to give your eyes a chance to adjust slowly.

  3. Contacts can give you headaches when you first start wearing them, just follow the wear schedule prescribed by your doctor and you should be fine.  It may take your eyes a few days to adjust to your vision with contact lenses because they are closer to your eye.  Contact lenses have less minification/magnification than eyeglasses.  If you normally wear minus (nearsighted) prescription, then objects may appear larger when you wear contacts.  They are actually closer to normal size with contacts.

I have uneven vision so I got headaches when I first started wearing glasses because of the minification/magnification effect and it was much easier for my eyes to adjust to contact lenses.
