  1. im not sure but i started at -1's and now im at -3.5's after 3 or 4 years

  2. I don't wear contacts or glasses. I have 20/10 vision.

  3. This is a common problem, but it's not related to contact lenses. People who wear glasses (spectacles) experience rthe same problem.

There is at least one company that says you need to exercise your eyes to keep from continually upgrading your corrective lenses prescription. The claims are pretty impressive, but I have never met anyone who has benefitted from such a system.

  4. not at all. Your eyes do change over time. even with glasses it will continue to change. Its completely normal don't worry about it

  5. No, your eye sight is just getting worse

  6. Eye glasses and contacts weakens your ability to focus.

Also, reading in poor lighting conditions or consistant strain on your eyes can do the same. If you use a computer often, you should let your eyes have a break from the screen. About every hour, its good to remove your focus on the screen. Take your thumb and place it about 6 inches from your face. Focus on your thumb for 10 seconds. Then focus on a wall 20 feet from you for same amount of time. Do this about 6 times.

  7. Yes- thats why you should use your glasses and contacts as little as possible or only when you need to. Also try improving your vision naturally by doing eye exercises and taking breaks when you are at the computer or doing prolonged close work.

  8. The contacts have nothing to do with it.

You are just experiencing normal Ocular Degeneration.

Happens to most people with eyesight problems.
