  1. That isn't a good sign at all.

If you are always too busy to take 30 seconds in the morning and again at  night to take your contacts out, and take care of them....you better stick with glasses.

  2. I've used Focus Daily (the ones you throw away at the end of the day) and loved them.  I love my Focus Day and Night even better though, because I only have to take them out to clean and disinfect every couple of weeks.  I wake up with clear vision!  As a new contact lens wearer, you will have to build up to this.  As far as I know, they're the ones that let the most air though to your eyes too.  Get advice from your eye doctor, and buy the best ones you can afford.  If you want contacts, the expense is worth the better lenses.

  3. It becomes second nature after the first couple weeks (after you get used to them), just like brushing your teeth.  Just keep a mini bottle of solution with you just in case they get dry or something.  I am very busy too, but my contacts never interfere.  Also, keep your glasses with you just in case ( I never do, but it is a good idea).

As for brands, I have no idea!  I use Acuvue, and they are ok; however, I've never tried any other brand.  When you are ordering them, ask the eye doctor what he/she recommends.

    Well, good luck =)

  4. I wear Acuvue Oasis one-a-day contacts

they require the least maintenance since u throw them out at the end of the day and they are very comfortable (no dryness or discomfort)

During the first month, it takes a while to put them on and I'd recommend one-a-day ones because there's a less chance of infection and you don't need to clean them.

Once you get used to it, you can wear contacts that last for two weeks, but no matter what, HYGIENE is the most important.

  5. Contacts require proper maintanence.  They require cleaning and storing properly. Generally, it is just a matter of putting them in your eyes and when taking them out give them about a 20 second rub with solution and placing them back in the case with solution until the next day.  Pretty simple but very important.  If you haven't worn before you do have to have training with them and at least one follow up appointment and possibly more if the contacts you get at the beginning are not the right ones for you.  It does take an investment of some time.

As far as brands, it really depends from person to person.  Some people really like Acuvue and other can't wear them. It more depends on what you are wanting from your contacts and what you are needing from your contacts.
