Me and someone else had a bit of a dispute over whether or not dvd copies lose quality from the original. I said they do, he said they don't.

  1. well movies that you buy from a store come on dvd 9 disks which have 8.7 gb of data...so if you were to burn a movie on to a disk of this size it hsouldnt lose any quality...maybe some fps. Most people use dvd 5 disks which have 4.7 gb which would lose quality becuase the movie would be bigger than the disk so the program would have to shrink it. A great program for doing this that is cheap is DVD cloner 5 and it also removes and copy right protection

  2. Depends on your software. Everytime I use AVS DVD Copy. It copies personal home video in the original quality.

    I download the software from:

Unbiased reviews and side-by-side comparisons of the DVD copy give you enough information to research the ins and outs of a particular product:

Also, you can google some other software:

  3. Invariably, they do.
