  1. No, but, they are taken by the hospital, as well as footprints, but, they're NOT given to the cops as that would be a privacy violation.. at least, here in the US...

    Think about it for a minute. If they did, anytime someone committed a crime and they found fingerprints they'd instantly be able to match them and locate the offender. There wouldn't be any unsolved crimes/cases.

    It'd be a major invasion of privacy in some respects to do so.


  6. No, but your finger prints are taken when you join the military, go to work for the government, or get arrested.  They then can access this records.
