If you talk about something, like, a drug dealer, or doing meth, or something of the sort, do they have certain words that they read the texts over, or is that an invasion of privacy? Please answer.

  1. They would need a court order to read your drug filled texts.

  2. The "cops" is a broad group.  Local, county, and state, no.  In the federal milieu, though, there are several agencies who routinely review texts, cell phone and landline calls, and emails for key words.  Watch the news.  Rent the movie Enemy of the State (which is pure fiction, but something to get you thinking, and everything mentioned in that movie if not being done now, it is because better technology exists).

It is an invasion of privacy, but the government determines that anything that protects the public safety is fair game--in plain terms, pure Machiavellian, the end justifies the means.

  3. They can subpeona the cell phone company and tap your phone if they have a suspision. Unless you are really popular with the police these days, I wouldn't worry about it.

As for the intelligence angle....I doubt they would care. Out of their jurisdiction, you know. The CIA has too much else to bother with right now.

  4. Ah the paranoia that comes with speed use.

NO, they have to get a court order to do so. A lot harder then it is on TV.

But don't believe that, everyone in authority is watching you and all your friends, you know better, so stop texting and talking and cover your floors and wall with aluminum foil so the rays can't penetrate.

  5. Paranoid are we? LMFAO!   Probably an intuition you should stop what you are into!

  6. they cannot unless they have a search warrant...which they would have already probably done if they were suspicious of you
