Do cortisone shots really work? I have to get them tomorrow and im worried that they will cause more pain...?

I have bulging disks and have shots tomorrow and any information would be great.

I had  a cortisone shot in my arm for tennis elbow and it did help. I was having worse pain than usual. The pain will probably come back mine has but I can deal with it. If it gets to hurting to bad I will go back for another shot. I got mine in the arm instead of right in the elbow joint the doctor said if my pain would of been worse he would shoot it in my elbow but it would hurt quit a bit more. He was right because it did help...

They are a temporary relief of pain, eventually you will need surgery.
